La (Re)Creación De Las Aves

La Creación De Las Aves is a 1957 painting by Remedios Varo, a renowned artist often associated with the Surrealist movement. I wanted to bring this work of magical realism to life. Although I've seen the fine detail of this work in-person, what I was left to work with was a small digital representation. I used stop-motion techniques of rudimentary materials like water, flour, thyme and glitter and then translated the frames back into the digital, pixelated environment, adding sound effects for overall enhancement.
